My friend and I had reservations for tea today, but the employees were not prepared and did not know about this. We wanted to get our money back from our online reservation. The employees had to call their boss. We were told the owner would not grant us a refund. The staff assured us they could “throw something together” for us. I don’t blame the staff, they were trying their best to accommodate us. However, the food was not worth $35. The pastries were not good. They seemed like a day old. The savory items were better, but I thought the sandwiches could have been better with protein since those were items offered on their main menu. The workers seemed very busy with their tasks and never really checked on us. It was not the best customer service. I was really looking forward to my experience today, but it did not meet my expectations.

This is the most adorable little café in Virginia Beach, and it has the best pistachio croissant I've ever had! If you love historical buildings, this cafe is on one of the oldest little homes in hampton roads. Charm is everywhere! The latte flavors are delicious and inventive, and all the syrups are made in house! Now, I can't discuss genevieve's without mentioning the macarons-they are always perfect; and the hsve delicious flavors (my favorite is champagne and rose!) Highly recommend this place!

My first time at Cafe Genevieve. The staff was helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. The coffee was excellent, and the food was fantastic. Sitting in the parlor with my BFF (Best Foodie Friend) We enjoyed a alvocado breakfast sandwich, and had a chocolate croissant. I asked some sitting at the next table, what they were having? It was a pistachio croissant. I had to try one. It was also delicious. The owner's husband happened to be there also. He showed us the upstairs and give us a tour and little history of the property. You should check out this hidden treasure in historical Kempsville. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful establishment!

Service was friendly, rate a 5. They recommended their limited time holiday special drinks so I ordered the almond one. Served in cute mug. The drink was a 5. Ambiance is cozy and cute, 5 stars. They had macarons assembled as a Xmas tree. The cream was too sweet and macaron were hard, unfortunately..

Charming little coffee house that's big on charm and Flavor. We ordered : Cafe au lait Brown sugar shaken expresso Quiche Lorraine Pistachio Croissant Everything was awesome. The service was exceptional. They got very busy as soon as we arrived at 9am but handled everyone like a pro. The house has seating for about 14 inside, a special event space and tables outside under the trees. We chose the fresh air. Our first time and an Amazing time . We will return.
